Dhaka, Mar 20 (V7N) – On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman extended his heartfelt greetings to all Muslims across Bangladesh and around the world, expressing hope that the festival will further strengthen national unity and mutual compassion.

In a message released on Friday, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the two biggest religious festivals for Muslims. He said that after the month-long fasting of Ramadan, Eid brings joy, peace, harmony, and brotherhood into people’s lives. Ramadan teaches restraint, sacrifice, service, and self-purification, awakening a spirit of compassion and cooperation in society.

“The real significance of Eid is to reflect the teachings of Ramadan in the life of the individual, family, society, and state. Eid calls us to forget all differences between rich and poor, big and small, and to be bound by mutual love and brotherhood,” he said.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman urged citizens to stand by the helpless, poor, and underprivileged, sharing the joy of Eid with everyone. Inspired by the ideals of Eid, he called on everyone to work together to build a humane, developed, peaceful, and prosperous Bangladesh.

He prayed that Almighty Allah may shower the joy, mercy, and blessings of Eid-ul-Fitr on everyone’s lives and guide the country and nation toward peace, progress, and prosperity, ensuring the welfare of the entire Muslim Ummah.
