Dhaka, Feb 01 (V7N)- The arrival of February in the English calendar heralds the timeless glory of Bengal—the living story of the achievements of the Bengali people. It was in this month that Bengalis secured the first step of their rights: the right to their mother tongue. Through slogans, processions, and the sacrifice of fresh blood and precious lives, the pride and ornament of Bangladesh—the Bengali language—was won.

From 1952 to 2026, this blood-stained history of sacrifice over a span of 74 years has illuminated the entire land of Bengal. Through this journey of struggle and resilience, the Bengali language has crossed the boundaries of 56 thousand square miles and reached the wider world—becoming a language of global recognition and dignity.

In the context of the present time, many questions arise about the ongoing journey of our language. Yet the answer remains singular and unwavering:
all these are my words, my identity—my Bengali language.

Time moves forward, and with it the reach and brilliance of this glory continue to expand. It feels as though a relay race of honor has been unfolding across centuries, carried from generation to generation. And in the final stretch, it is the people of this land—and our Bengali language—that emerge victorious.
