Dhaka, Sep 15 (V7N) – Chief Advisor to the Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus highlighted the transformative role of youth in nation-building while presenting the Youth Volunteer Award 2025 on Tuesday.

The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the Shapla Hall of the Chief Advisor’s office, honored 12 young volunteers across five categories for their outstanding contributions to society, including healthcare, environmental protection, poverty alleviation, and social justice.

Dr. Yunus praised the youth, saying, “The innovative power of our youth is not limited to education alone. These are the young people who led the mass uprising of 2024, and throughout history, they have shaped the course of our nation.”

He emphasized that volunteering cultivates leadership qualities, character, and self-development. “We want our youth not just to remain volunteers but to emerge as policymakers, innovators, and architects of change,” he added.

The Chief Advisor urged the youth to face challenges—whether public health crises, educational gaps, or environmental disasters—with courage and unity. He noted that even small efforts in healthcare, education, or environmental protection could bring about significant positive changes for the country.

“This award is not only a recognition of your work but also a call to lead boldly, innovate, and contribute to societal welfare,” Dr. Yunus said. “If our youth are active, no problem in the country can remain unresolved. With your collective efforts, Bangladesh can rise as a developed, humane, and innovative nation.”

The ceremony concluded with Dr. Yunus congratulating the award recipients on behalf of himself, the state, and the people of Bangladesh, invoking blessings for their continued success.
