Dhaka, June 25 (V7N) – The National Consensus Commission has resumed its second phase of thematic discussions with political parties on state sector reforms. Talks restarted at 10:30 am today (Wednesday) at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, following a two-day break.

In this phase, the commission is reviewing reform proposals that failed to garner consensus during the first phase of discussions. So far, 9 key issues have been discussed over five days, with only two reaching agreement among the participating parties. Most proposals remain unresolved due to differing political stances.

The Commission is scheduled to address a total of 20 issues in this round, though officials stated that more topics may be added depending on the progress of the talks.

The ultimate goal is to draft a National Charter by July, incorporating all points of consensus achieved through these dialogues. This charter is expected to serve as a foundation for future national unity and structural reform efforts.
