London, June 14 (V7N) — UK Labour Party MP Tulip Siddique is set to face court over allegations of corruption, according to Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He made the statement in an exclusive interview with ITV, a British television channel, during his recent visit to London.

Dr. Yunus stated, “Any allegations should be addressed in court, not through political discussions. I personally rejected Tulip Siddique’s request for a meeting.”

The allegations against Tulip Siddique involve the illegal acquisition of land from her aunt, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as well as allegations of owning a luxury flat in Gulshan, Dhaka, through improper means.

However, Tulip Siddique has firmly denied all accusations, calling them “politically motivated propaganda by the Bangladeshi authorities.” She maintains that the charges are baseless and part of an orchestrated campaign to malign her reputation.

This controversy has drawn significant attention, as Tulip Siddique is a sitting Member of Parliament in the UK and a close relative of Bangladesh’s ruling political family.

Further developments are expected as legal proceedings progress.
