Dhaka, Mar 16 (V7N) — Former Bangladeshi minister and senior Awami League leader Jahangir Kabir Nanak was reportedly seen at a restaurant in India’s capital, New Delhi, according to claims made by an expatriate journalist on social media.

The claim surfaced late Sunday night when expatriate journalist Jawad Nirjhar posted several photographs on his Facebook page around 2:20 am. In the post, he alleged that Nanak was present at the restaurant along with a former Member of Parliament from Bangladesh.

According to the Facebook post, several senior leaders of the Awami League recently held an important meeting in New Delhi. Sources cited in the post claimed that the meeting was attended by Jahangir Kabir Nanak, a former lawmaker from Feni district, and an individual known to have previously served as a protocol officer for former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The post further alleged that the individual identified as Sheikh Hasina’s former protocol officer had arranged the meeting in the Indian capital. Photographs accompanying the post appeared to show the individuals at a restaurant table.

However, no official statement has yet been issued by the leaders mentioned in the post regarding the claims or the alleged meeting. The authenticity of the meeting and the circumstances surrounding it could not be independently verified at the time of reporting.

Political analysts say such reports often draw public attention due to the evolving political situation involving leaders of the Awami League. Authorities and political figures concerned have not publicly commented on the matter so far.
