Cox’s Bazar, Feb 12, (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed, contesting for the Cox’s Bazar-1 constituency, cast his ballot Thursday at the Pekua GMC Institute polling centre.

Speaking to reporters afterward, Salahuddin expressed satisfaction and emotion over participating in the election. “I am very happy to vote. I cannot express my feelings. Insha Allah, I am hopeful that the people of this area will vote in favor of Sheaf of Paddy in the interest of development and prosperity,” he said, referring to his party’s electoral symbol.

He voiced confidence in the electorate’s support, noting that voters had repeatedly elected him in the past. “They love me, trust me, and consider me a friend. I also have the same love for them,” he added. Salahuddin said he had waited 17 years for such an opportunity, describing the festive atmosphere as a moment of liberation for voters.
