Dhaka, Jan 21 (V7N) — BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman met with guardians demanding justice and compensation for the victims of the recent plane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara. He expressed his condolences and listened to their grievances on Wednesday (January 21) morning.
Around 10 to 15 guardians had staged a sit-in in front of the BNP office in Gulshan, holding placards and calling for a meeting with the party chief. They voiced concerns over the government’s compensation measures and the slow pace of the investigation and trial.
During the meeting, the guardians urged that the deceased be recognized as martyrs, the injured receive proper medical treatment, and the victims’ families be provided with rehabilitation and support.
Tarique Rahman assured the guardians that he would coordinate with a representative to follow up on their demands after the election and called for patience from the affected families.
