Bogra, Dec 29 (V7N) — BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s nomination papers have been submitted for the Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituency in the 13th National Parliament election. The papers were submitted on his behalf by district BNP leaders to Bogra Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman on Monday.
Among those present were Bogra District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, District BNP Acting General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, and former president Saiful Islam, along with other party leaders and activists.
The Bogra-6 constituency, which includes the Bogra municipality and 11 unions, has a total of 449,000 registered voters and is considered politically significant.
Tarique Rahman’s direct involvement in political activities and election campaigning after returning to Bangladesh after 17 years has generated considerable enthusiasm among grassroots leaders and party activists, highlighting the party’s renewed energy ahead of the elections.
