DHAKA, July 21, (v7n) – The Dhaka Deputy Commissioner's Office today unveiled the 'Hello DC' mobile app, a one-stop digital platform that enables city residents to access government services, submit applications, obtain information, and file complaints.

“Our goal is to deliver government services to people's doorsteps. This technology-driven initiative will reduce citizens' time, costs, and hassles. The 'Hello DC' app has been launched to make the district administration more transparent, accountable, and service-oriented,” Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanom said at the launching ceremony.

Terming the launch a timely initiative, Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Md Maniruzzaman Miah said the platform will make public services simpler, faster, and technology-driven. “Such innovative initiatives will bring district administration services closer to the people and play an important role in ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the delivery of government services,” he said.

The divisional commissioner further said the government has been working relentlessly to ensure the maximum use of information technology to reduce public suffering and improve the quality of public services. He urged officials and employees to discharge their duties with sincerity to make the initiative a success.

Initially, the app will be available for download from the address hellodc.bd. After completing the review process, it will also be available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Citizens will also be able to download the app through the official Facebook page of the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner's Office and access its services.

According to the district administration, the app will be enriched gradually with additional features and services, with plans to incorporate new services in phases and transform it into an integrated digital service platform. In addition, people can call 01961606060 directly between 9am and 4pm to receive assistance.
