DHAKA, June 6, (V7N) – A meeting of the ruling BNP parliamentary party was held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban today, ahead of the budget session of the 13th JS scheduled to begin tomorrow. Prime Minister and Leader of the House Tarique Rahman chaired the meeting, which took place in the ruling party's meeting room at the Sangsad Bhaban this afternoon.

The meeting began at 3 pm and ended at 6:20 pm, with the Prime Minister delivering the closing remarks. Premier's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony provided details of the proceedings to BSS following the session.

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir delivered the welcome address at the meeting, while Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni conducted the proceedings. Various important issues were discussed during the three-hour-plus session.

Cabinet members and treasury bench lawmakers took part in the discussion. The meeting served as a preparatory session for the upcoming budget session of parliament, allowing ruling party legislators to coordinate their positions.

The 13th Jatiya Sangsad will begin its budget session tomorrow, with the parliamentary party meeting helping to ensure unity among treasury bench members ahead of key legislative business, including discussions on the national budget.
