DHAKA, Mar 11, (V7N) – The Election Commission (EC) today held a coordination meeting with the army and other law enforcement agencies to review security measures and maintain law and order ahead of the upcoming Bogura‑6 by‑poll and Sherpur‑3 constituency election.
The meeting began at 1:45 pm at the EC Secretariat conference room in Agargaon, chaired by Election Commissioner Brig Gen (Retd) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah. EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed conducted the session, which was attended by representatives from various forces and agencies.
At the outset, the EC Senior Secretary thanked law enforcement agencies for their role in successfully completing the 13th National Parliament election.
Officials said the meeting focused on reviewing the law and order situation, security arrangements, and preparations for the upcoming polls. Discussions included the distribution of responsibilities among different forces at the field level to ensure smooth voting.
