FEB 12 (V7N) - Independent candidate Barrister Rumin Farhana, contesting with the Duck symbol, is leading in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency after results from 45 centres. According to data from the Returning Officer’s office received around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, she holds a lead of 12,234 votes.

In these 45 centres out of 152 (including postal ballots), Farhana secured 34,460 votes. Her closest rival, Junayed Al Habib of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh (BNP alliance), running with the Date Palm Tree symbol, received 23,226 votes.

Brahmanbaria-2 covers Sarail and Ashuganj upazilas along with parts of Bijoynagar, with nearly half a million voters across 151–152 centres. The early tally suggests a competitive race, with more results yet to be declared.
