FEB 12 (V7N) - In the 13th national parliamentary election, BNP candidate Mostafa Kamal Pasha has been unofficially declared winner in Chattogram-3 (Sandwip upazila) constituency.
According to centre-based results, Pasha, contesting with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, secured 71,000 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Muhammad Ala Uddin, running with the Scales symbol, received 36,000 votes.
The constituency has a total of 260,485 registered voters. The strong margin reflects BNP’s dominance in this coastal seat, where voter turnout was reported to be significant throughout the day.
