FEB 12 (V7N) - In the 13th national parliamentary election, Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gono Odhikar Parishad and contesting with the Truck symbol, has been unofficially declared winner in the Patuakhali-3 constituency (Dashmina-Galachipa).

His closest rival was independent candidate Hasan Mamun, running with the Horse symbol as a BNP rebel. In a Facebook post, Hasan Mamun congratulated Nur on his victory, acknowledging the result.

The contest in Patuakhali-3 had drawn attention as a battle between a young political leader and a seasoned local contender. Nur’s success reflects growing support for youth-driven politics and alliances in the region.
