DHAKA, Feb 12 (V7N): The results were announced unofficially on Thursday (February 12) after vote counting was completed at all polling centres in the constituency.

According to the announced results, Paddy Sheaf candidate Abdul Bari has been elected, securing a decisive margin of 68,015 votes over his nearest rival.

Jamaat-nominated candidate SM Rashedul Alam Sabuj, contesting with the Scale symbol, received 91,112 votes.

With a significantly higher vote count, Abdul Bari was unofficially declared elected in the constituency following the completion of counting.
