DHAKA, May 19, (V7N) – The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) reported that they filed 2,137 cases against motor vehicles for traffic rule violations across the capital on Monday, May 18th.
According to a DMP media release today, these cases were registered, and fines were collected as part of their routine operations targeting traffic offenders.
Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division, stated that 211 motor vehicles were impounded, and 135 vehicles were towed due to unsafe driving practices.
"The drives will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets," the release affirmed, reiterating the DMP's ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and ease movement for residents in the capital.
