DHAKA, May 18, (V7N) – The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) took action against 1,450 motor vehicle owners and drivers for violating traffic regulations across the capital in the past 24 hours.
A DMP media release today stated that these cases were filed, and fines were collected on Saturday (May 17) as part of their ongoing operations against traffic offenders.
Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division, reported that a total of 185 motor vehicles were impounded, and 96 vehicles were towed due to unsafe driving practices.
"The drives will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets," the release affirmed, emphasizing the DMP's commitment to streamlining the traffic system in the capital to facilitate easier movement for city residents.
