Nha Trang, Sep 06 (V7N)- Dominican Republic's Johairi Mola Dominguez has won the Miss World 2026 crown, defeating 111 contestants from around the world at the grand finale in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on Saturday evening (September 5) local time.

Johairi previously won the Miss World Dominican Republic 2025 title, earning her the opportunity to represent the country at the global competition.

A successful figure in fashion and modeling, Johairi is also a teacher, journalist and social activist. During the coronation ceremony, last year's Miss World, Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri, placed the blue crown on her head.

As Miss World 2026, Johairi will represent the Miss World Organization in its charitable initiatives worldwide, including the 'Beauty with a Purpose' campaign.

Spain's Elisabeth Reines was named first runner-up, while Malaysia's Tanusia Chetty finished as the second runner-up.

Bangladeshi contestant Samanjar Saeed, who initially reached the top six in her continental group in the 'Beauty with a Purpose' segment, failed to secure a place in the final top 40.
