Dhaka, Mar 25 (V7N) – The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has shut down three diagnostic centres in the capital’s Chankharpul area due to multiple irregularities, officials said on Wednesday.
The action was taken during a drive conducted in the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) area on Wednesday morning.
Among the closed facilities is “Active Blood Bank, Transfusion and Diagnostic Center”, where authorities found that both the diagnostic centre and blood bank were operating without valid licenses. Officials also reported the absence of a qualified doctor at the blood bank, along with several other violations.
Another establishment, “Prime TG Diagnostic Center,” was also sealed during the drive for operating without a required blood bank license.
In addition to the closures, the Health Department fined another organization Tk 60,000 for regulatory violations.
Authorities said such drives will continue to ensure compliance with health regulations and to protect public safety in medical services across the capital.
