Dhaka, Sep 25 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast gusty winds of 45–60 kilometers per hour along with rain or thundershowers in eight districts of the country.
The weather warning was issued for the country’s inland river ports and will remain in effect until 1:00 PM on Friday (September 25).
According to the warning, rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds from the south or southeast at speeds of 45–60 km/h may occur in Kushtia, Faridpur, Jashore, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali and Cumilla.
The Meteorological Department has advised river ports in these areas to hoist Warning Signal No. 1 as a precautionary measure.
The signal will remain in effect from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday.
Authorities and people living near rivers and other vulnerable areas have been advised to exercise caution amid the possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms.
