Dhaka, Aug 17 (V7N)- Gusty winds accompanied by rain or thunderstorms may sweep across 13 districts, including the capital Dhaka, by noon on Monday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The department issued the warning in its forecast for the country's inland river ports, covering the period from 5am to 1pm on Monday (August 17).

According to the forecast, temporary rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds of 45 to 60 kilometres per hour may occur in the affected areas.

The districts under the warning are Rajshahi, Pabna, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Cox's Bazar.

The winds may blow from the south or southeast.

In view of the possibility of adverse weather, the Meteorological Department has instructed the river ports in these areas to display warning signal number 1.
