Cox's Bazar, Jan 04 (V7N)- Brigadier General (Retd.) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah has announced that joint forces operations will be launched across Bangladesh in preparation for the upcoming elections. He provided the information during a meeting organized by the district administration in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday (January 4).
Brig. Gen. Sanaullah said that a Home Ministry circular detailing operational guidelines is expected to be issued soon. He highlighted the key objectives of the joint forces’ operations:

Recovery of illegal weapons – All illegal arms available ahead of the elections will be seized, and those that cannot be recovered must not be used for unlawful activities.

Arrest of identified terrorists – Individuals flagged for terrorist activities will be apprehended and brought under the law.

Monitoring election code of conduct – The joint forces will investigate major violations by political parties and candidates, while routine minor deviations will be addressed by designated committees.
Brig. Gen. Sanaullah also emphasized the importance of security around Rohingya camps, urging authorities to seal the camps and increase surveillance along land and sea borders to prevent misuse by criminals or miscreants.
He added that the Election Commission and all service chiefs are already coordinating for the implementation of these measures to ensure a safe and fair election environment nationwide.
