Dhaka, Nov 14 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has once again increased gold prices in the country, raising the cost of 22-carat gold by Tk 5,248 per bhori. With the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk 2,13,719 per bhori. The new rates came into effect on Friday.

According to BAJUS, the updated prices per bhori (11.664 grams) are as follows:

  • 22-carat gold: Tk 2,13,719

  • 21-carat gold: Tk 2,04,038

  • 18-carat gold: Tk 1,74,855

  • Traditional gold: Tk 1,45,520

The final selling price will include a government-mandated 5% VAT and the BAJUS-fixed minimum making charge of 6%. Jewelers may charge more or less depending on the design and craftsmanship of the jewelry.

This marks the second price hike in just three days. Earlier on November 11, BAJUS increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 4,188, setting it at Tk 2,08,471 per bhori.
