Dhaka, Oct 07 (V7N)- A meeting between the Election Commission (EC) of Bangladesh and a delegation from the Election Commission of Nepal is underway at the Election Building in Agargaon.

The meeting began at 10:45 am on Wednesday, with six representatives from Nepal, including a member of the country's Election Commission, taking part.

Bangladesh Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin is leading the Bangladeshi delegation at the meeting. Other election commissioners and senior officials are also attending.

The IT-supported postal ballot system being developed and used by Bangladesh is among the key issues expected to be discussed during the meeting.

The two sides are also expected to exchange views on the electoral systems of Bangladesh and Nepal and discuss various aspects of election management.

Officials are expected to share their respective experiences and practices in conducting elections, including the use of technology in the electoral process.

The meeting is aimed at strengthening cooperation and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience between the election management bodies of the two countries.
