Dhaka, Oct 01 (V7N)- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the government has no plan to form a new joint force or launch an operation similar to ‘Operation Clean Heart’ to control the country’s law and order situation. However, law enforcement agencies will conduct coordinated operations to maintain peace and security.
He made the remarks at the plaque unveiling ceremony of the new headquarters of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Thursday (October 1).
The Home Minister said that all law enforcement agencies would work together through coordinated operations to improve the law and order situation. However, he clarified that no new joint force had been formed and that the government had no plan to launch ‘Operation Clean Heart’.
Referring to December as the month of victory, Salahuddin Ahmed said the government would not allow any evil force to carry out attacks during the month.
He added that the government had been working from the beginning to keep the country’s law and order situation under control.
The Home Minister also warned that action would be taken in accordance with the law against any law enforcement personnel found negligent in performing their duties.
