Dhaka, Sep 27 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman returned to Bangladesh on Sunday morning after participating in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and other members of his official delegation.
The aircraft carrying the Prime Minister and his entourage landed at Haz rat Shahjalal International Airport at around 8:30am on Sunday, September 27.
Earlier, Tarique Rahman and his delegation arrived at Dubai International Airport on an Emirates flight at 8:23pm local time on Saturday. They later departed Dubai for Dhaka at around 2:00am on Emirates flight EK-582.
During his five-day visit to New York, the Prime Minister addressed the UN General Assembly on September 24. In his speech, he highlighted Bangladesh's position on several major international issues, including global peace, climate change and the repatriation of Rohingya refugees.
Tarique Rahman also took part in 30 official engagements during his visit.
As part of the programme, he held bilateral meetings with representatives from 11 countries. He also met representatives of international organizations, prominent individuals and business leaders.
Following the conclusion of his engagements in New York, the Prime Minister began his return journey to Bangladesh, arriving in Dhaka on Sunday morning.
