New York, Sep 26 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, in New York on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the friendly relations between Bangladesh and the UAE.
They exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, economic partnership, manpower and various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman emphasized the importance of expanding and making the existing relations between Bangladesh and the UAE more effective.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to increase economic engagement and cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides expressed interest in further expanding mutual cooperation in the future.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
