Dhaka, Sep 05 (V7N)- President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep grief over the death of prominent political figure and social activist Tozammel Hossain Khan, popularly known as Taju Khan, of Thakurgaon.
In a condolence message issued on Friday (September 4), the President said Tozammel Hossain had worked tirelessly for democracy and development for a long time.
“With his death, the northern region has lost a strong leader,” the President said.
He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
Tozammel Hossain Khan died on Friday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka.
