Dhaka, Sep 01 (V7N)- Three Bangladesh Air Force personnel were killed and four others injured after a pickup vehicle fell from a flyover while they were on duty at the Third Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The accident occurred at around 10:20pm on Monday (August 31). The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the incident in a statement.
The deceased were identified as Warrant Officer Mahmud, Corporal Piyas and Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Zubaidul.
According to ISPR, the Bangladesh Air Force pickup lost control while carrying out regular duty at the Third Terminal and fell from a flyover on the second floor of the terminal.
Three Air Force personnel died at the scene, while four others sustained injuries in the accident.
Immediately after the incident, the injured personnel were taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, for necessary medical treatment.
The ISPR also said arrangements were being made for the necessary procedures concerning the deceased personnel.
