Mongla, Aug 27 (V7N) — Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Lion Dr Sheikh Faridul Islam made an unannounced visit to Mongla Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday to inspect healthcare services.

The minister arrived at around 11:00am without informing the hospital authorities in advance, while he was attending a tree-planting programme in the area.

During the visit, he spoke to patients, enquired about their treatment and inspected the overall healthcare activities at the facility.

The minister said he had visited the hospital without prior notice and found that officials and staff were carrying out their respective duties properly.

He instructed hospital staff to ensure that no patient had any complaints and that everyone received appropriate healthcare services.

He also urged the authorities to maintain greater cleanliness, particularly in the emergency department.

After learning of the minister’s surprise visit, Mongla Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharmin Akter Sumi and officials from various local government departments quickly arrived at the hospital.
