Dhaka, Aug 16 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has left for Kishoreganj by road to attend a number of programmes, including the distribution of family cards and a tree plantation initiative.

He left Dhaka on Sunday (August 16) morning for his first visit to Kishoreganj since taking oath.

During the day-long visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to three upazilas, including Kishoreganj district headquarters.

His programme includes distributing family cards, planting trees, releasing fish fry, inaugurating fisheries-related activities and distributing awards. Donations and honorariums are also scheduled to be provided to various individuals and organisations.

Extensive last-minute preparations have been completed in Kishoreganj ahead of the Prime Minister's arrival. Local authorities have taken various measures to ensure smooth arrangements for the programmes.

Tarique Rahman is scheduled to return to Dhaka in the evening after completing his day-long visit.
