Dhaka, Aug 05 (V7N)- Keeping the spirit of the July Uprising alive and emphasizing the demand for justice, the ‘July Run-2026 Season Two’ was held at Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday.
Around 2,000 runners participated in the event organized under the theme “Run for Justice”.
The run began in the early hours of Wednesday from the Physical Education Center of Dhaka University. After completing a designated route, the participants returned to the starting point, marking the conclusion of the event.
Organizers said the main objective of the July Run was to commemorate the July Uprising, uphold the call for justice, and inspire young people toward a healthy and active lifestyle.
The event was organized for the second time by the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU). Participants and organizers expressed their hopes for building a new Bangladesh based on justice, equality, and prosperity.
During the program, many runners pledged to work together for a discrimination-free society and a country where fairness, accountability, and democratic values are upheld.
