MONOHARDI, Narsingdi, July 18, (v7n) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain today stressed the need to uphold the real history of the country's independence before students so that they can learn the true facts of the Liberation War.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a merit scholarship and reception programme organised by Nabo Diganta Club at the playground adjacent to Gangkulkandi Bhuiyan Bazar under Monohardi upazila.

He said conspiracies are continuing against Bangladesh, and therefore the real history of independence must be presented to young students so they can access the authentic narrative of the Liberation War.

He noted that various effective programmes have already been undertaken for the development of education, health, and agriculture sectors, and people are already benefiting from them.

With Nabo Diganta Club Chairman Professor Mostak Ahmed Bhuiyan in the chair, the programme was also attended by Monohardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer MA Muhaimeen Al Zihan and Monohardi Upazila BNP Member Secretary Aminur Rahman Sarker Dolon.
