Dhaka, May 26 (V7N)- All types of launch operations from the capital’s Sadarghat Launch Terminal resumed on Tuesday (May 26) after being temporarily suspended due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions.
The authorities confirmed the resumption decision at around 1:45 pm on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, launch and ferry operations from Sadarghat had been halted temporarily as heavy rain and rough weather conditions affected river navigation and passenger safety.
The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) had also suspended ferry and launch services on the Paturia–Daulatdia and Aricha–Kazirhat routes due to strong winds and heavy rainfall.
Officials said services were resumed after weather conditions improved and river navigation was declared safe for operation.
