Dhaka, May 06 (V7N) — The government has emphasized the importance of honoring all international agreements, including any reciprocal trade arrangements with the United States.

Prime Minister’s Finance and Planning Advisor Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir made the remarks on Wednesday (May 6) following a meeting at the Secretariat with a visiting U.S. trade delegation led by Brendan Lynch.

Titumir said the government is prioritizing national interests while seeking to expand market access for Bangladeshi products in the United States. He noted that discussions focused on enhancing cooperation to diversify export products and improve competitiveness and productivity.

He further stated that Bangladesh supports inclusive economic relations rather than exclusive partnerships, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen export growth through mutual collaboration.
