Dhaka, Mar 23 (V7N) – After the celebrations of Eid al-Fitr, the return of city dwellers to the capital has gained momentum as offices and businesses reopen. The number of working people traveling back to Dhaka by launch has increased significantly since the third day of Eid.

Since Monday morning, launches arriving from various southern districts have been gathering at the busy Sadarghat Launch Terminal, bringing a steady flow of passengers back to the city.

Passengers reported that their return journey was relatively comfortable due to the extended holiday period. Many expressed happiness at spending quality time with their families during Eid. However, they also acknowledged the need to return to Dhaka to resume their work and daily responsibilities.

Travelers said they were relieved to reach the capital without major difficulties, which is often not the case during peak Eid travel periods.

Meanwhile, the movement of passengers remains active in both directions. Even on the third day of Eid, many Dhaka residents are still leaving the city to visit their relatives in rural areas. They noted that traveling after Eid helped them avoid the heavy rush typically experienced before and during the festival.

Transport authorities at Sadarghat reported normal operations, with no major disruptions observed.

The ongoing flow of passengers reflects the gradual transition back to routine life, as well as the continued importance of Eid as a time for family connections across the country.
