Dhaka, Mar 04 (V7N) — There was comparatively little crowd at bus counters on the second day of advance ticket sales for the upcoming Eid journey.

A visit to the Mohakhali Bus Terminal on Wednesday (March 4) showed the terminal largely empty from morning until noon, with only a limited number of passengers seen purchasing tickets.

According to counter officials, most tickets for March 16, 17, and 18 have already been sold out. Passengers expressed mixed reactions over ticket availability, with some satisfied with the process while others voiced concerns about limited seat options on preferred dates.

Bus owners said they expect passenger pressure to increase significantly once people receive their monthly salaries ahead of Eid. They also assured that fares are being charged in line with rates fixed by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

Passengers can purchase advance tickets for travel from March 12 up to the day before Eid. Bus companies are selling tickets both at physical counters and online platforms. Travelers can book seats by selecting their preferred bus service, departure time, and seat through designated websites.

Transport operators expect a surge in ticket sales in the coming days as the Eid holiday approaches.
