Dhaka, Feb 23 (V7N)- The Bangla Academy has announced the names of 9 recipients of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025, according to a press release from its Public Relations Department on Monday (February 23).

The awardees for this year are:

  • Mohan Raihan – Poetry

  • Nasima Anis – Fiction

  • Syed Azizul Haque – Essays and Prose

  • Hasan Hafiz – Children’s Literature

  • Ali Ahmed – Translation

  • Mustafa Majid and Israel Khan – Research

  • Farsim Mannan Mohammadi – Science

  • Moidul Hasan – Liberation War

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will officially present the awards at the inauguration of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair next Thursday (February 26).

The Amar Ekushey Book Fair, which begins on February 26, will run until March 15. This year, the government has waived the stall rent for all participating publishing houses, encouraging wider participation in the cultural event.
