Dhaka, Feb 17 (V7N) — As the oath-taking ceremony of the members of parliament elected in the 13th National Parliament election continued at the oath chamber of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, filmmaker and cultural personality Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui shared his reaction in a post from his verified social media page.

In his post, Farooqui wrote that the new cabinet is taking oath today and expressed appreciation for the decision to hold the ceremony at the South Plaza of the parliament complex. He described the initiative as deserving “a big salute.”

He noted that the South Plaza should serve as the focal point for major national events, recalling that the July Declaration and July Charter programs had previously been held at the same venue.

Farooqui further wrote that bringing a significant state event such as the cabinet’s oath-taking to this space — symbolically placing it at the heart of public expectations — reflects a positive rewriting of the political importance of the location.
