Rajshahi, Feb 4 (V7N) — Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Wednesday assured that the upcoming 13th National Parliament election and referendum will be peaceful, stating that there is no fear of mob violence and that the police are fully prepared.

He made the remarks after attending a law and order exchange meeting at the Rajshahi Prison Training Academy auditorium around 4 pm, which focused on ensuring the smooth conduct of the elections.

The Home Affairs Advisor added that any candidate behaving indecently will face consequences if such actions are exposed, emphasizing that the law and order forces are ready to maintain security. He also highlighted that illegal weapons are being regularly recovered in the run-up to the election, further strengthening security measures.
