Dhaka, Jan 26 (V7N) — Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Monday called upon members of the armed forces to perform their duties with professionalism and impartiality during the upcoming 13th National Assembly elections and referendum.

He made the call while speaking at a view-exchange meeting with senior officers of the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force at the Helmet Auditorium of the Army Headquarters.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chief Advisor at the outset of the meeting highlighted the glorious and responsible role of the armed forces in addressing various national needs. He expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to the armed forces for maintaining law and order across the country with patience and professionalism over a prolonged period.

The meeting included detailed discussions on various important and contemporary issues related to the upcoming elections.

Dr. Yunus also provided guidance on fulfilling responsibilities through professionalism, neutrality, and effective inter-institutional coordination to ensure that the elections are participatory, peaceful, fear-free, and fair for all stakeholders.
