Brahmanbaria, Jan 21 (V7N) — Rumin Farhana, an independent candidate expelled from BNP, has been allotted the duck symbol to contest the 13th National Parliament Election from Brahmanbaria-2 constituency. The symbol was officially provided by the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer’s office on Wednesday (January 21) afternoon.

Expressing her excitement, Rumin Farhana said, "I love my voters, workers, and supporters more than their lives. They brought me to this place today. When they see me, small children shout — our duck mark, our duck mark. So this mark belongs to my voters, not just me."

She also added, "I used to raise ducks. When one was stolen, I did not spare the thief — I filed a case and even put him in jail. If anyone even thinks of stealing my duck symbol, I will take appropriate action."

According to sources at the Returning Officer’s office, 13 candidates have withdrawn their nominations in the six parliamentary constituencies of Brahmanbaria, leaving a final total of 48 valid candidates. Party candidates have received their designated party symbols, while independent candidates were assigned symbols of their choice.
