Dhaka, Jan 08 (V7N) — Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid has said that it is possible to conduct a fair and impartial election with the existing field administration.

He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon in response to questions regarding administrative readiness for the upcoming elections.

Dr. Rashid added that no reshuffle will be made by the ministries in the administration. However, he noted that the Election Commission (EC) has the authority to make changes if deemed necessary.

He further stated that returning officers have completed the verification and selection of nomination papers. He urged citizens to file complaints if they believe there is any bias in the administration.

Dr. Rashid also highlighted that candidates or parties who disagree with the decisions of returning officers have the opportunity to appeal to the Election Commission.
