Dhaka, Nov 11 (V7N) — Legal Affairs Advisor Asif Nazrul has said that the government will take a decision on the mechanism to implement the July National Charter within the next three to four days, expressing hope that all political parties will accept the move.

He made the remarks on Tuesday afternoon while speaking at a discussion on the draft amendment proposal for the Legal Aid Provision Ordinance 2025 at the Judicial Training Institute in the capital.

Asif Nazrul said that meaningful change requires continuity and patience. “If reforms are carried out consistently, positive results will follow. We must abandon the idea that reforms can be implemented overnight,” he noted.

He further stated that the constitution alone cannot serve as a quick solution to all problems. “The constitution is not a magic wand. Reforms must be supported by political will and institutional practice,” he added.

The legal advisor also expressed optimism that the elected government will uphold and advance the ongoing reform initiatives.
