Dhaka, Nov 09 (V7N)- Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan is set to become a voter in the Dhaka-10 constituency. He is scheduled to apply for voter registration at the Dhanmondi Police Station election office at 3 pm today (Sunday, November 9), according to information received from the Ministry of Local Government.
Earlier, Asif Mahmud had announced during a television talk show that he would contest the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and hinted at running from Dhaka. His decision to transfer his voter registration to Dhaka-10 further strengthens the possibility of him contesting from this constituency.
At present, Asif Mahmud is a registered voter in his home constituency of Muradnagar under Comilla-3.
The Dhaka-10 constituency comprises the areas under Dhanmondi, New Market, Kalabagan, and Hazaribagh police stations. While Jamaat-e-Islami has already declared its candidate for the seat, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is yet to announce its nominee.
