Dhaka, Oct 28 (V7N)- Islamic speaker and religious thinker Dr. Zakir Naik is reportedly scheduled to visit Bangladesh for the first time on November 28, according to an event management company.

However, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Towhid Hossain said that the ministry has no prior knowledge of the visit. He told reporters on Tuesday (October 28) that he first learned about the planned trip from journalists.

On the topic of foreign observers in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Towhid Hossain said the Election Commission will handle invitations, and the government does not intend to involve anyone who could create unnecessary controversy.

He also reassured that friendly countries have no doubts about the elections scheduled for February, and regarding Bangladesh’s relations with Beijing, he stated that there is no reason for other countries, including the United States, to be concerned.
