Dhaka, Oct 08 (V7N) – The government will not pay the salaries of workers; rather, employers will be responsible for doing so, said Labor and Employment Affairs Advisor Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain.

He made the statement while speaking at a seminar on sustainable reforms in the labor sector held on Wednesday (October 8) morning.

Dr. Sakhawat said that the government is currently working on major reforms in the labor sector, with a focus on amending the labor law to ensure greater transparency and accountability.

“The reform work is at its final stage,” he said, adding that the initiative will bring significant and positive changes to Bangladesh’s labor system.

He emphasized that the government remains committed to protecting workers’ rights and ensuring fair treatment. “No worker will remain unpaid,” the advisor assured.
