Dhaka, Sep 02 (V7N) – Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will hold a meeting with seven political parties at the State Guest House Jamuna today (Tuesday, September 2). The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 pm, according to the Chief Advisor’s press wing.
However, the press wing did not disclose the names of the political parties that will participate in today’s dialogue.
Earlier, on Sunday (August 31), Dr. Yunus held separate meetings with BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP). Discussions at those meetings centered on the current political situation and the upcoming national elections.
At that time, the Chief Advisor reiterated his stance that the next parliamentary elections will be held in the first half of February, stressing that “there is no alternative to elections.” He further warned that pursuing any path other than elections would be “deeply dangerous for the nation.”
