Dhaka, Aug 31 (V7N) – Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus met with Jamaat-e-Islami leaders on Sunday afternoon to discuss the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections and the current political situation.
The meeting began at the State Guest House Jamuna after 4:30 pm. A four-member delegation led by Jamaat Naib-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Md. Taher attended. Other members of the delegation included the party’s Secretary General O Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Rafiqul Islam Khan, and Hamidur Rahman Azad.
The Chief Advisor is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with BNP and Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) on the same day. The discussion with NCP is set for 6:30 pm, followed by BNP at 7:30 pm, both at the Jamuna State Guest House.
These meetings come amid rising political tensions and ongoing preparations for the national elections, as parties and the interim administration work to ensure a transparent and participatory electoral process.
